Island Fresh Produce (IFP) is one of Tasmania's leading fruit and vegetable distribution outlets, supplying both independent retailers and other food service customers across Tasmania.
Established in 1995, IFP is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tasmanian Independent Retailers Cooperative (TIR), an organization that represents Tasmanian retailers trading independently or as an IGA branded outlet.
Island Fresh Produce customers include schools, nursing homes, restaurants, hotels and independent supermarkets which are serviced through distribution centres located in Hobart, Launceston and Devonport.
As a Tasmanian business, IFP supports local growers by focusing on sourcing fresh fruit and vegetables from Tasmanian farmers where possible, however, this depends on the seasonal availability. Additional fruit and vegetables are sourced via a national network.
IFP adheres to a strict quality assurance program to maintain a ‘cool chain’ process, ensuring all produce is maintained at correct temperatures from the ‘farm gate’, via IFP’s distribution centre, fresh to your local IGA.
Exclusive to independent retailers trading under the advertised banners of Supa IGA, IGA Everyday and IGA X-press is the 'Island Fresh' house brand range.
Previously operating at Merino Street, Kings Meadows from 2004 to 2014, IFP’s headquarters is now located at its purpose build warehouse at Connector Park, Kings Meadows.
Island Fresh Produce is committed to servicing its customers with quality fruit and vegetable products at competitive prices.
